The customer is of paramount importance. With between four to six custom homes built each year, Dave Wilton, president of Wilton Custom Homes, ensures he deals directly with each and every homebuyer. He values that contact and maintains it conscientiously.
"I like to communicate with our customers directly so that I can understand exactly what their needs and wants are." Dave listens to every request and suggestion from his clients. He will list out both the pros and cons, making sure that the highest standards are met. These are certain standard features in Wilton Custom Homes which any other builder would consider an extra; Dave will never build a home without these. Dave will not sacrifice his quality for price. If customers need to go beyond Dave's already high quality specifications, he's happy to help them meet their goals.
The homebuyer is an integral part of the process: from the home design procedure, to the choosing of a lot and the installation of some of the home's finer features. Dave, with his wife and partner Donna, use a professional home designer who meets with every customer to understand their needs before mapping out their dream home. Donna explains, "It's important that our customers have the opportunity to express their individuality creatively". A copy of their custom plans is sent to the customer reflecting their needs and tastes.
Wilton Custom Homes appear throughout the Kitchener, Waterloo area as well as St. George and New Hamburg. Customers can locate their own dream lot beyond the city into the country and surrounding towns, or customers can choose from one of Dave and Donna's hand-picked lots in some of K-W's most desirable locations. Whatever their choice, the lot is their dreams solid foundation.
